According to the provisions of the Trial Measures for voluntary registration of works, the principle of voluntary registration is adopted for copyright registration. The authors of musical dramas who register their copyright shall apply to the copyright administration on their own.

Article 2: Works shall be registered on a voluntary basis. Whether a work is registered or not, the copyright obtained by the author or other copyright owners according to law shall not be affected.
Article 3: the copyright bureaus of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government shall be responsible for the registration of works of authors or other copyright owners within their jurisdiction. The national copyright administration is responsible for the registration of works of authors or other copyright owners in foreign countries, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
Article 8: when applying for registration of a work, an author or other copyright owner shall present his / her identity certificate and provide proof indicating the ownership of the work's rights (such as copies of the cover and copyright page, copies of some manuscripts, photos and samples, etc.), fill in the work registration form and pay the registration fee. When applying for the registration of a work, other copyright owners shall also produce proof showing the identity of the copyright owner (for example, the inheritor shall present the identity certificate of the successor; the client of the commissioned work shall present the entrustment contract). The owner of the exclusive right shall produce the contract proving his exclusive right.
